Celebration of "Sushasan Diwas" on the ocassion of the Birthday of Sri. Atal Bihari Bajpayee ji in Siliguri on 25th December 2014:
The Day started with Darjeeling Loksabha M.P Sri. S.S. Ahluwalia ji visiting the Siliguri Regulated Market at 9:00 am. At first he had a interaction with the Potato Dealers and Labourers at Allupaty . The  Potato Dealers and Labourers first felicitated  Sri. Ahluwalia ji and then spoke about their problems to him. They told him about the lack of proper facilities at the Market . The Siliguri regulated market is the main whole sale market of North Bengal and also caters to the needs of people of Bhutan and Sikkim.
The Regulated Market doesn't even have a permanent cooking space for the labourers and the labourers have to cook in the open. There is no proper system for maintaining the market. They too felicitated him and told him in detail about the problems they face in the Market ranging from leaking Roofs and water entering their shops during Monsoon to total lack of any Cleaning Staff from the Corporation. Ahluwalia ji listened to them and told them to Keep their Market Clean. He then took up a Broom himself along with other B.J.P leaders and started the "SWACH BHARAT AVIJAN" there.
