An exclusive article by Rohini Verma about the "Hinduism in Ancient Arabia" is worth read. We are re-publishing the article for wider reading for our visitors. Although, the article had already been published on Sankhnaad, yet it is re-published for them who likes this type of re-search work as well as for RSS Swyamsewaks, also for them who could not gone through the article earlier.

Hinduism is the most ancient code of ethics that's been followed in the world, the most ancient Dharma. Hinduism was not only limited to the Indian subcontinent. As a matter of fact, Hinduism has its firm footprints as far away as Europe and Africa.

Yoga, an ancient Indian way of life

At the suggestion of the Prime Minister of India to United Nations, 21 June is adopted as the International Day of Yoga. Generally for people Yoga meansasanas and pranayama which are done to keep the body fit. But Yoga is not just some exercise or Therapy. It is a way of life based on Ekatmata - Oneness of existence. Existence is interconnected, interrelated and interdependent as it is expression of one Chaitanya called variously as Ishwara, Paramatmanand Power etc. Today ecology and science also have realized this interconnection, interrelation and interdependence of the existence. But since last few centuries man is under the influence of ideas like individualism at the cost of social obligations and sensual enjoyment at the cost of development of inner being. The impact of this is seen in the disintegration of families, societies and depletion of nature etc.

Recognizing the volunteers

I am trying to collect some unique acts by common Swayamsevaks while serving in Nepal. Here is one.

Shyam Parande

Sugreeva- the Hero

Handling dead bodies is the last act that anyone would like to do. When there is a mound of dead bodies to be handled during the calamity, no one would like to touch. It was the same story for couple of days at the Teaching Hospital mortuary. Police personnel deployed there preferred to look the other way as the bodies arrived.

Sudhir Bisht's open letter to Arun Shourie

An open letter to Arun Shourie by Sudhir Bisht is reproduced here for our visitors where he tells "You could step aside from the BJP membership, don the mantle of a full-time journalist again and then go ballistic against the government".
Respected Arun Shourie,
Let me start by a frank admission. You have been my hero since your Indian Express days. There have been only two journalists, I have hero worshipped. You are there at the very top, the other being the Late Prabha Dutt. Hence it is extremely painful for me to write an open letter to you where I have to oppose what you say.

Sidharth Nath Singh on PM's visit to WB

Sidharth Nath Singh
On behalf of Bengal BJP unit, we are honoured that the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has selected Kolkata to launch the two universal social security schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna. Also being launched on the same day is Atal Pension Yojna assuring monthly pension of Rs 1000 upto Rs 5000 per month after the age of 60 years . The insurance schemes are for every citizen of India, however the way the schemes are designed will surely bring insurance to those who could not get insured, the poor deprived Indians.  Under PMSBY by paying just Rs 1/month an insurer can avail accident insurance worth Rs 2 lakhs. Similarly under PMJJBY by paying Rs 330/annum one can get life insurance worth Rs 2 lakhs.
