Report of 'Law Violation' program by BJP WB today on (17/12/15)

Massive police lathicharge in President Sri Dilip Ghosh's programme in Krishnanagar town where several BJP workers got injured. President Sri Dilip Ghosh along with others sat on a sit-in protest (dharna) against the police high handedness. Later police arrested all those sitting on protest including State President Sri Dilip Ghosh and State GSO Sri Amal Chaterjee. Though the police wanted to let the leaders go but they refused to leave the Police Station without the other fellow workers who
are detained by the police. Initially the police agreed to release the detained activists but after a mysterious call they refused the same. As per news available while sending this mail a roadblock is planed infront of the Kotwali PS to be led by State President Sri Dilip Ghosh.

The lathicharge at Krishnanagar was coordinated by police as the civic police volunteers first started pelting stone from one side and the police started lathicharge from the opposite side. Our leaders and karyakartas got trapped in between and many sustained injuries. The injured included National Secretary Sri Suresh Pujari who sustained head injury. Sri Kailash Vijayvergi also was hit by one blow. As per estimates some 5000 people took part in today's protest here.

At Barasat, Rathtolla intersection the law violation programme was led by Sri Siddharth Nath Singh. Here after a peaceful protest the police resorted to unprovoked lathicharge. Several party activists got injured including Sri Siddharth Nath Singh.

Overall some 45 BJP workers sustained injuries and were treated at different hospitals.

The third programme wad held in Darjeeling where a historic public meeting was held at the politically important Chowkbazar area. This is for the first time in the history of BJP that the party organised a public meeting on its own at this venue. Sri Rahul Sinha was the main speaker here along with Sri SS Ahluwalia and others.
