Minority Panel Wants 12% More Quota for Muslims

The State Minorities Commission (SMC) on Thursday made a representation to the Telangana State Backward Classes Commission (TSBCC) pushing the case for a 12 percent quota for Muslims, an additional 8 percent over the existing 4 percent.

Explaining the rationale behind the demand, SMC chairman Abid Rasool Khan said, “If the government clears the 12 percent reservation, the existing 4 percent will be superseeded and a fresh GO will be issued. If its challenged in court, the existing 4 percent will be in danger. It is important to protect the existing quota. Therefore, we has asked reservations in the 4%+8% format, resulting in an aggregate of 12 percent.”

RSS Slams Manmohan on Demonitisation

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has slammed former prime minister Manmohan Singh for his sharp criticism of the Narendra Modi government on the demonetisation move, saying that he should have kept his own house in order as prime minister in the UPA government.
“Manmohan Singh is considered one of the top economists, but what did he do in the two terms of the UPA government as prime minister? Most of the black wealth was generated during this period, with a series of high-profile scams, and he was at the helm of affairs. Wasn’t that an organised loot of the nation’s wealth?” asked J Nandkumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh of the RSS.
Breaking his silence after a long period, Manmohan, during the debate on demonetisation move in Rajya Sabha on Thursday, alleged that the NDA government’s plan of scrapping high-value currency notes had led to “organised loot and legalised plunder”

Triple Talaq and the war of the Mullahs. Let not Shabano case be repeated.

Triple Talaq
For the first time in the constitutional history of India, the Central Government through its Law Ministry filed an affidavit impressing upon the Supreme Court to do away the prevalent practice of polygamy and triple Talaq on the plea that they are not an integral part of the religion and is also against the constitutional guarantee of gender equality.
The Case Against Triple Talaq:
Since more and more women and their organisations were approaching different courts on the issue of triple talaq in different parts of the country, the Supreme Court last month asked the central government to submit its reply to a batch of petitions including that of one Shayra Banu of Uttarakhand who challenged the practices like triple talaq, polygamy and nikah halala as unconstitutional. The apex court had also initiated suo motu proceedings to examine the need for protecting the rights of all Muslim women.

A post by David Frawley

Why Does The Left Ignore India’s Indigenous Intellectual Traditions?

Ancient Scripts
India has one of the greatest intellectual traditions in the world and it has nothing to do with modern Indian leftist scholars and writers. It is the tradition of numerous yogis, sages and seers going back to the Vedas, extending through Vedanta, Buddhism and related dharmic traditions to their many exponents today.

Dharmic traditions teach us how to develop the mind in the highest sense of universal consciousness, not simply logic and conceptual thought. India’s great minds, centuries ago, produced the many paths of yoga and the largest variety of exalted spiritual philosophies and psychologies in the world. And their teachings remain alive and vibrant even today, spreading globally.

China-Tibet Blunder and Nehru

Nehru and The China-Tibet Blunder!

Nehru & Chinese leaders
Nehru & Chinese leaders
The people of India (esp. the people of Arunachal Pradesh in North East) will never forget & perhaps never forgive those responsible for the China - India War of 1962, for, the war was a complete disaster for India and its defeat is mourned to this day by the nationalists.
For most of us who grew up studying really boring history composed of awful repetitive chapters of Nehru-Gandhi role in freedom struggle or European wars and imperialism, we now tend to be put off by the very mention of social sciences & this is, in fact, a deliberate attempt by the successive Congress governments in India to turn off masses from questioning the history of the country and thereby distort and change history and its chapters as they please!

No Solution Except Abrogation of Article 370 on Kashmir Imbroglio

Kashmir Imbroglio – No Solution Except Abrogation of Article 370
An exclusive article on J&K by Dr. R. H. Tupkary reproduced for our visitors.
With the curfew clamped almost for much over a month now in South Kashmir valley, the situation has taken the worst turn. It is not befitting the democracy. It is true that Kashmir has never been like any other normal state in the Indian union. The instant apparent trigger has been the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani. There have been several general elections in Jammu-and-Kashmir (J & K) state since independence to entrench democracy in tune with rest of India. Different political parties got majority to rule the state and to bring the state in tune with the rest of India. Kashmiri people had thus ample opportunity to express themselves, choose their leaders and get ruled democratically like rest of Indian states. There has been one single or combination of parties, except the BJP, that ruled the state in the last so many decades.

The RSS also questioned the intent of Rahul’s statement. “Which words he stands with in the affidavit he filed in the Supreme Court or the lie he uttered in a public speech,” RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya wanted to know.

Kerala : ISIS and Love Jihad

A time appropriate article published on VSK Telengana on 02 August 2016 is here by reproduced for our visitors who could not avail the article.
ISIS and Love Jihad : The Deadly Combination In Kerala

Love Jihad
December 11, 1999, was a black day for the Hindus of Kerala and Bharat as it was this day that Kerala’s renowned poet, short story writer and a great Krishna Bhakt, Madhavikutty Aka Kamala Das converted to Islam. She wore a Purdah and said that she has embraced Islam. It was indeed a shock for the Malayalee community as she was one of the best writers of the state who was shortlisted for Nobel Prize in literature in the year 1984 and had written several short stories which had influenced the youths and the Keralite community. Kamala Das can be considered as one of the foremost victim of Love Jihad which was planned and executed to the fullest by an influential political leader of the Muslim League who had promised to marry her even though he had two wives and children.

Replying to a debate in Rajya Sabha on the Kashmir situation, he affirmed that while militancy will be dealt with sternly, there should be "no instant" use of bullets while dealing with mobs which should first be tackled by the use of teargas and water cannons.

An article with logic

Top Article
An article by MARIA WIRTH "What Hinduism is lacking" has been picked by our editors. The article appears to be highly logical. Hence we are connecting our visitors to her site for details.

Here are a few lines from the article. There seems to be some “defect” in Hinduism, because worldwide, it is clearly not as respected as Christianity and Islam. Hindus struggle to get a fair representation for Hinduism in the media or in textbooks whether abroad or even at home.

This is hard to understand, because Hinduism has the best philosophical basis of all and is in tune with modern nuclear science.

Attacks and killings of Hindu activists never retaliated to by anyone

The Left-influenced media and ecosystem has tried to paint the Sangh Parivar, the Modi Government and BJP-RSS as 'intolerant'. The truth is far from it, they are overtolerant. The media lies & blowing out of proportion isolated incidents like Dadri of October 2015 (There was another Dadri incident in June 2014 where a BJP leader was killed, but no one remembers it now) will cause resentment and infuriation among a section of the society. The truth about the guilt of Islamic /Christian /Communist radicals in attacking and killing Hindus and the suffering of the Hindus must be brought out in public. Some additions have been made to an article already compiled at a blog.

RSS role in freedom struggle

Since the past many years, and even currently allegations are made by leaders of political parties like AAP, Congress, Marxists and other anti-RSS people that the RSS did not participate in the freedom movement and even sided with the British. Unfortunately, I must say here that  it seems the propaganda against the RSS has not been countered properly. I have compiled an article on 'RSS Role in Freedom movement' by compiling facts from various articles and adding my own few arguments.
